North Carolina Scooter Driver’s Death May Spark Wrongful Death

It is unfortunate to say that many families in North Carolina may have had to file a claim of wrongful death surrounding an accident. Many of these tragedies occur when a pedestrian walks along a roadway or on the sidewalk. Many may have happened out of pure negligence from a driver, whether it be from speeding or failing to stop at a stop sign. One of the most recent accidents happened when a man was operating a motorized scooter and was hit by a vehicle. The unfortunate accident may lead to the family filing a claim of wrongful death in an attempt to receive justice for their loved one.

The accident happened when an SUV collided with the operator of a motorized scooter. Thankfully the driver of the SUV was not hurt. However, the driver of the scooter, who was just 18-years-old, was killed as a result of this accident.

Police are now attempting to figure out what caused the SUV to collide with the driver of the scooter. The accident happened just after 9 p.m. The investigation is still pending further findings, and one can only hope that the family of the deceased will find closure when the investigation is finished.

Although the family may figure out why and how their loved one was killed on this North Carolina roadway, the answers may not suffice. They may want restitution for what has been done, and they may be able to find it in the form of a claim of wrongful death. In addition, the family may be assisted in paying funeral costs and other expenses as a result of the successful litigation in the wrongful death claim.
